Another amazing Day on this Sunday, my last in Prague for now.
This is The Břevnov Monastery ~ It is the Benedictine Archabbey of St Vojtech (Adalbert) and St Margaret and it was the first friary in Bohemia. It was founded by Prince Boleslav II and Saint Adalbert, bishop of Prague in 993 AD.
This bottom two photos are of The Church of St Margaret within the walls of the Monastery. Its interiors are decorated by the works of the famous painter Brandl. This is the very first Prague church that received the honorary title Basilica Minor from the Pope.
The Monastery is on Marketská Street 28, Prague 6 and you can easily get there by taking Tram 22 from Centrum.
